We now offer one- and two-year-old apple, peach, and pear trees for most varieties listed on our site. All are well-suited to Northern Maine’s climate.
Best Time to Buy & Plant
Bare-root trees: Best planted in mid-October through November when dormant.
Spring sales: April 15 – May 10. After this period, trees break dormancy and should not be transplanted.
Potted trees: For an additional cost, we can pot your tree so you can grow it over the summer and plant it in the fall once fully dormant.
Spray-Free Varieties: Certain late-ripening apples aren't bothered by apple fly maggots, the scourge of New England apple growers. These varieties are also highly resistant to apple scab, a crop-destroying fruit disease. They are Black Oxford, Gold Rush, Enterprise, MacFree, Westfield-Seek-No-Further, Windham Russet, and Wickson.
📌 Pricing
Bare-root trees – $25
Potted trees (5-gal. pot) – $40
A bench graft is a cutting from a parent tree grafted onto a rootstock—essentially cloning the desired variety onto a strong, disease-resistant root system. Unlike standard potted trees (which are grafted and grown for 2-3 years), bench grafts allow you to grow the tree yourself at a lower cost while accessing rare varieties not found in stores.
📌 Pricing
All bench grafts – $15
Order deadline: April 25
