We offer bench grafts for apple and pear varieties that grow well in Northern Maine.  Bench grafting is a process where a cutting from a parent tree is grafted to a root.  The grafts are produced sitting at a workbench, thus, the term bench graft.  This allows the grower to “clone” a desirable variety by grafting it to a healthy disease-resistant rootstock.  The typical potted tree has been grafted and grown out for 2-3 years.  There is an advantage to a consumer if you buy the bench graft and grow it out yourself.  It costs less than a potted tree and is easy to plant, and transport.   Most of all you have access to more varieties than you’ll ever see in a store.

We now offer 1 and two-year-old apple trees for most varieties listed on our site.

All grafts are $15

Bare Root Trees $25
